Pacific Pipeline is the nonprofit arm of Pacific Economics, dedicated to advancing inclusive, sustainable investment across the Pacific Islands. Its mission is to build a stronger enabling environment for positive economic transformation—connecting communities, governments, and partners with the tools and knowledge needed to design and deliver investments that reflect Pacific values and priorities. Distinct from its parent firm’s technical advisory work, Pacific Pipeline focuses on early-stage opportunity development, public-good financial infrastructure, and capacity-building to ensure that Pacific voices lead investment processes from idea to implementation.

Pacific Pipeline plays a core role in the Unlocking Blue Pacific Prosperity (UBPP) initiative by supporting the development of investment-enabling systems that align large-scale ocean, food, and climate priorities with fit-for-purpose financing solutions. As part of UBPP’s regional co-design process, Pacific Pipeline helps map financial flows, structure programmatic investment platforms, and facilitate cross-sector coordination to ensure Pacific-led ownership of the funding architecture. Its work focuses on building the policy, institutional, and analytical foundation needed to mobilize and absorb catalytic capital across the Blue Pacific.

We map public and private finance, identify bottlenecks, and help design the financial mechanisms—like blended finance platforms and blue bonds—that can unlock large-scale investment for sustainable development.
